“Can a woman forget her nursing child, or lack compassion for the child of her womb? Even if these forget, yet I will not forget you.” – Isaiah 49:15 CSB
I remember it like it was yesterday. I watched a movie which left a lasting impression on me. I was flipping through the channels when I saw a woman frantically crying and looking for her baby. Everyone around her thought she was crazy. She was surrounded by nurses and other patients in a home and the caretakers seemed to think she had lost all reason. Apparently, she was suffering from loss of memory, did not know who she was yet somehow believed she was a mother and had lost a child. The nurse attempted to calm her down and reassured her that she had never been pregnant let alone had a baby. Yet, this woman insisted she had a baby.
I’ll spare you the details of the movie but in the end, this woman indeed had had a child, a little girl who was stolen from her at birth. Running to search for her child, she had been hit by a car and lost her memory but somehow she could never forget that she had given birth to a child. She never forgot her.
Whatever you’ve prayed about, know that God has heard your prayers and you will soon receive your answer. Like Daniel, who was faithful to God and still had to wait twenty-one days for the answer to his prayers, your answer is on the way. However, you must be patient. Your twenty-one days will soon be over but wherever you are in your 21-day-wait trust that your loving Father has seen you in your prayer closet and has taken notice of your desires. The same God who always showed up for Daniel will show up at the right time for you as well.
