Praying For Your Future Spouse
Day 10: Their Spiritual War & Protection
Heavenly Father, Great Defender of our hearts,
I thank you for your care over me and over my future spouse. I praise you that my future spouse is always safe in your arms, hidden under the shadow of your wings. Father, you are the Great Leader, you are Jehovah! I pray in the name of Jesus, in the name of Immanuel that you would be the leader in the spiritual battle of my future spouse. I ask that you would equip (him/her) with your full armor so that (he/she) would be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. I pray that in the name of Jesus and by the power of the blood that my future spouse would gird (his/her) waist with truth, walk with the sandals of the gospel of peace, take on the shield of faith daily, wear firmly the helmet of salvation and fight with your strong sword of the Spirit which is your Word. I thank you Lord that the weapons of my future spouse’s warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for the pulling down of strongholds. I declare in the name of Jesus, that no weapons formed against my future spouse shall ever prosper and that my future spouse would trample over all the power of the enemy now and forever. I thank you that my future spouse is covered with the precious blood of Jesus. Thank God. Amen.
Becoming The One
Now that you have prayed for your future spouse’s spiritual battle, meditate on the following scriptures keeping in mind your current battles and pray Ephesians 6:10-18 over yourself.
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds – 2 Corinthians 10:4 NKJV
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. – Luke 10:19 NKJV
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— Ephesians 6: 10-18 NKJV
