Day 7 : Their Mind And God’s Word
I praise you and thank you for the privilege of coming to you in prayer. I stand in the gap for my future spouse right in the name of Jesus and by the power of his blood. I pray that my future spouse would be clothed in (his/her) right mind and that the same mind that was in Jesus would also be in (him/her) according to your Word (Philippians 2:4). I ask you Lord that you would give (him/her) a sound mind ( 2 Timothy 1:7) that his saturated in your Word at all times. I declare in the name of Jesus that my future spouse meditates solely on things that are honest, things that are just, things that are pure, lovely, of good report, and worthy of praise (Philippians 4:8). I pray that my future spouse would meditate on your Word day and night and that (he/she) would delight in it (Psalm 1:2) remembering always to do as you have asked and commanded. I ask that you would hide your Word in (his/her) heart and that my future spouse would treasure it so (he/she) might not sin against you. May (he/she) always be of one mind with the brothers and sisters in the faith and that (he/she) would be filled with your Holy Spirit. I pray in the name of Jesus that my future spouse would fully submit (his/her) mind to you and would not allow anything to enter in that is not from you. May (he/she) guard her mind through what (he/she) listens to, watches, and reads daily. May your Word transform (his/her) mind and bring (him/her) into a closer walk with you, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Becoming The One
Now that you have prayed for your future spouse’s mind and devotion to God’s Word, consider the transformation that your own mind needs to go through. Ask God to reveal the truth to you and journal your answers.
- What do you usually meditate or think intentionally about?
- How are the things you listen to, read, and watch bringing you closer to God?
- What portion of your time is spent in God’s Word on a daily basis?
Now meditate on the next scriptures and pray that God would saturate your mind with goodness and his Word.
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus- Philippians 2:5
My eyes are awake through the night watches, that I may meditate on your word. – Psalm 119:148 NKJV
