Praying For Your Future Spouse
Day 8: Their Purpose And Their Calling
Father God, you are extraordinary, worthy of praise and faithful beyond measure.
I thank you and praise you for my future spouse and the anointing you have placed on (his/her) life. I thank you Lord that you have created (him/her) for a specific reason, a purpose and with a particular plan in mind. I thank you that you have a purpose for my future spouse that is unique and will bring you glory on earth and in heaven. I thank you and praise you that no one can steal or destroy the calling or divine assignment that you have for (him/her) and I pray in the name of Jesus that you would reveal this calling to (him/her) and give (him/her) a bigger vision for (his/her) life. In the name of Jesus and by the power of His blood, I pray that my future spouse would not be wander in this life not knowing why they were created but (he/she) would be confident that you will complete the good work that you have started in (him/her) because your Word will not return unto you void. I pray that my future spouse would always be led by your divine influence and your Spirit in (his/her) purpose and would always operate in purpose. I pray that my future spouse would not be afraid to answer the call that you placed on (his/her) life but that (he/she) would walk boldly into his future, walking worthy of the calling by which you have called (him/her) in Jesus Christ. I pray that every door divinely appointed would be open and never shut. I thank you and praise you that you have good plans for (his/her) life and that you will get the glory out of (his/her) life. As we come together, I pray that you would unite us in purpose and help me be a purpose-mate to my future spouse, walking in the same direction together and with a common mission even while we may have different assignments. I stand on your word that when we call you answer, and when seek you in all our heart, we will find you. I thank you for bringing my future spouse in alignment with your purpose, your will, your calling and plans for (his/her) life in the name of Jesus and by the power of His blood. Amen.
Becoming The One
Now that you have prayer for your future spouse’s purpose and calling, meditate on your own and see how you are possibly walking in your own purpose. Journal your answers and ask God to reveal the truth to you.
- Do you know God’s purpose for your life?
- Do you think that you are currently walking in purpose?
- What is God’s calling for your life (in order words, his assignment for you right now in this season of your life)?
- How can you begin to walk in your purpose today? What are the passions of your heart, your spiritual gifts, your skills, and talents?
- In what way do you have a heart for people?
Now meditate on the next scriptures and pray that God would reveal to you your purpose and your calling. Ask Him to give you a bigger vision for your life.
There are many plans in a man’s heart, nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand. – Proverbs 19:21 NKJV
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. – Romans 8:28 NKJV
That you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God – Colossians 1:10 NKJV
That you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.- 1 Thessalonians 2:12 NKJV
Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began – 2 Timothy 1:9 NKJV
