Ok singles, listen up good! This season is a new season with Jesus! Today you get to begin again but this time WITH Jesus, the lover of your soul. I know prayer does not always seem like the most exciting part of the walk with Christ and I certainly do not want you to feel as if this is one more thing to add to your todo list. But this is vital. Prayer is your lifeline! You cannot know God without communicating with Him and allowing Him to communicate with you.
You know that sort of emptiness you feel, that void...Well, only Jesus can fill it but how will He fill it if you won’t let Him in, if you won’t talk to Him?
Prayer is no contest. It is not about demonstrating that you are some kind of spiritual giant, about being verbose or knowing how to quote scripture all throughout. No, God is not looking for performers. He is looking for a devoted child and friend who will open up his or her heart to Him in complete honesty and total vulnerability.
Attention: diving deeper in prayer with Jesus , speaking to Him and taking the time to listen may have the following effects:
✨deeper relationship to Jesus
✨winning spiritual battles
✨becoming a new person in a good way ✨having a heart that is transformed
✨knowing God more
✨loving others better
✨ability to forgive more easily
✨peace within even during chaos
✨unspeakable joy
✨oh and feeling totally depended on God no longer needing to be in control
But these are only a few benefits of what comes out of a dedicated prayer life.
Don’t jump to a 40minute quiet time of prayer if you’re not accustomed to it. Begin small 10 minutes and build up from there.
I want your soul to prosper, to walk in a manner worthy of God’s call upon your life and for that, a relationship with the one true God is needed and that relationship gets nourished through prayer. 🙏🏽

Side-note: Begin the habit of prayer and a quiet time with God now. After marriage, you’re going to wish you knew how to connect with God better because ohhhh boyyyyy you will need God’s hands in your marriage 😉

Be patient. Don’t find just anyone to build a life with. Find the right person. Someone who you can serve God with, build His Kingdom with, someone who will love you on your best days and your worst, extending grace when you need it, forgiving and able to call out your sin with love. ✨

Marriage is for life - however long God blesses you with breath- so make sure you choose a suitable partner. You do not need a Jezebel or a Nabal in your life but also make sure you are not one yourself. What you require of others, the standard you demand must first be the standard you follow and apply in your life. ✨

We all want to experience a plentiful harvest in our lives but few are ready to put in the time, effort and devoted stewardship it requires. Whether you desire to see God’s purpose for your life come to pass, walk and produce fruitfully in your vocation or enter into a new season blessed such as marriage, all these require a season of preparation before the harvest.
Like plant, you must steward what God has given you NOW by preparing the soil of your life, planting the right seeds , watering and fertilizing (constant care) which is the nurturing phase of your season and then expectantly wait as God does His part to bring about a plentiful harvest. So it is with your Christian walk. Each day, prepare for what God has placed in your life, steward well what He has laid in front of you, plant seeds, and watch as the harvest comes about. It will take patience but wait on the Lord. What you have entrusted into His hands, He will bring it to pass if you have not neglected your part. ✨

In which area of your life do you need to apply these principles? Have you planted seeds without preparing the soil? Are your frustrated not to see a harvest when you have watered yet have neglected to plant the right seeds or care for them? You cannot wait for what you have not laboured. Go back to the beginning and carefully follow God’s guidelines. ❤️

Exodus 14:13-14 is one of my favourite passages.
It contains beautiful promises: promise to save, promise to handle our enemies on our behalf and fight for us. But those verses also contain important commands from God : a command to stand firm, be still, unshakeable, unmovable, unwavering; a command to give in to fear and not giving an edge to fear, watch while God moves and remain in peace.
Are you holding on to God’s promises and obeying His commands? Are you hiding God’s Word in your heart in this season and holding fast to His promises? ✨

Now, more than ever, you need God’s Word to stand firm, His promises to encourage you and follow His teaching with a humble heart. ✨

There is nothing that Jesus cannot see you through. In every season, He is in charge. In every situation, He has ultimate power.
Death has been defeated, strongholds can be broken, sin destroyed and victory can be yours. In the trial, God is there. On the mountain top,He is there. In the valley, He is there. There is no where for you to hide and nothing, absolutely nothing can be hidden from Him. He is always there! And He will see you through.

God’s Word is His love letter to us but it is also His great instrument for teaching. Last time , we spoke about availability, are you making yourself available to Him through His Word to allow Him to teach you? ✨

You cannot know a God who’s very Word, His letter to you, you know nothing about. Dive into it, you won’t be disappointed. His Word brings life and instruct us in the way we should and need to go. There’s no time like the present to allow yourself to be taught directly by the Almighty. Jesus is coming soon and He wants you to get to know Him now, believe, accept Him, and embrace Him. You matter to God! So come, learn from Him, know Him and do His will. ✨

Don’t wonder how God can use. Don’t worry about whether you have what it takes to do what God has called you to do. You can have ZERO abilities ( and I believe you have plenty 😉) yet those are just extra assets. God can do plenty and beyond what you can imagine if you’ll just say “YES Lord”. Hey yall! Anybody like lists or being in control and able to checkoff items off a list???
Well I’ve got good news and I’ve got bad news for you.
Let’s start with the bad news. The fruit of the Spirit is not a list that you can just check off and think you have arrived. You cannot impose those in your life and think because you will it, you now have this fruit. Sorry my loving control freaks 😊😏
BUT the good news is that this fruit already exist in you through the Spirit of Christ and with time and practice (practice of following the Spirit’s leading, abiding and surrendering) you will grow into this fruit abounding, increasing and bearing more and more of this beautiful fruit.
Our part is to abide in Christ, to grow each day desiring to look more like Him in character and the Spirit, well , He does the work and will refine us daily allowing us to grow into this fruit, having less and less of a taste for what displeases God and more and more desire to walk as Jesus walked. ✨

MORE GOOD NEWS FOR DAILY LIVING!
Looking back *quickly, don’t linger there , I know some of you*, what were you missing from the fruit of the Spirit that could have made your relationships better? Every relationship can be much more harmonious and God-honoring when we personally grow in the fruit of the Spirit. Where could you still use a little work?
When we grow in the fruit of the Spirit, it not only brings more beauty in our relationship with Christ, drawing us closer to Him in character and one-mindedness but it can also help us in our daily relationships ( with family, friends, spouse, future spouse, church family, co-workers , etc).

6 years ago, I needed a lot of grace because Patience and I felt like we lived on those different continents sometimes 😂, what about you? Joy and I are currently working on being best buddies😉Where would you like to see more fruit? By God’s grace and through His Spirit, it is absolutely possible , keep running the faith-race🌷🙂

One thing God has placed on my heart is for us to do a little heart check.
I’ve been considering how we need to build a heart of gratitude . A beautiful definition for it and a more accurate one is “gratitude is learning to recognize and express appreciation for the blessings we have received from God and from others.” (E. Vaughn)
But did you know that there’s this little,actually it may appear small but is really a big problem that’s called pride which can rob us of an attitude of gratitude. A grateful heart is a humble heart. Yes, I know , humility is not trendy and totally counter cultural but we were never called to abide by the trends of culture but to be set apart, a peculiar people for His glory. ✨
Wait, don’t scroll away just yet! Let me give you a piece of advice and truth that will radically change your life and relationships, especially for you singles if you’ve got marriage on the brain and even if you do not this will improve all the relationships in your life beginning with God. ✨
When pride gets in our heart, it becomes like an infection and makes us sick. Let me ask you this:
Do you “whine” about frustrating or annoying people? (Could be customers too) I’m so guilty of that😞.
If circumstances or people don’t please you, do you become resentful? Do you get upset over something you wish you had or wish you didn’t have ? are you easily irritated and think people owe you things?
Do you think something won’t get done right if you’re not the one doing it?
All these things reflect a prideful heart. I know ...it is somewhat painful to realize. ✨
switch from pride to humility? Humility says:
-I will be quick to realize my faults and confess them to God honestly
-I will value others above myself , looking out for the interests of others (Philippians 2:3-4)
-think much of God and others and not so much ‘me me’
Humility is a blessing :It keeps the heart from rejecting healthy submission, choosing harmony in a relationship,and so much more. Pride destroys relationships and leads to more sin. God extends more and more grace to the heart willing to humble itself. Now tell me you don’t want and need some of that grace?! 😉

If you’re feeling like your heart is under fire, under attack, I want you to know that in all seasons of trials God has a special grace for that. His own words were “My grace is sufficient for you for my power is made perfect in weakness”. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
Trials, we don’t like them and if we could we likely would always choose to avoid them. Yet, God allows them, always able to bring good out of a bad situation.
As I’ve being growing and growing in my Christian walk, I’ve noticed in my life and in the life of others (present and past) that the seasons that have produced the most fruitfulness are seasons of trials. Could it because they force us to need God and depend on Jesus more than we ever have before? Very likely!
Nancy Demoss Wolgemuth often says “anything that forces me to need God is good”. I could not agree more. Those hard seasons, God uses to bring out more out of us while He’s got our complete attention. ✨
✨
When did you last experience God’s grace under fire?
Are you the type to run away from God in times of trouble or run towards God?
Have you discovered more of the beauty, truth, power and comfort of His Word in these seasons?
How are you bearing more fruit right now? Are you offering the Lord a sacrifice of praise right now? ✨

Ok so you’re feeling like this season is useless, purposeless, and perhaps even wasteful ?
No no no. Every season in life is a blessing, even our trials. It may not feel like it but remember how God’s word says “give thanks in all circumstances” (1 Thessalonians 5:18). We can look at the season as wasteful or we can choose to shift our perspective and looks at the opportunities this season offers us. Where you see waste? There can be purpose. You can needless or you can see preparation. For a single Christian, singleness is not only a beautiful gift but it is also a beautiful season of PREPARATION for the next. Enjoy this season while simultaneously preparing for whatever Next season you desire and will choose to embark on. ✨

So purposeless?? No absolutely PURPOSEFUL!
Some things you can do in preparation:
-get to know God
-get to know yourself
-work at what God has placed in front of you
-serve
-love others well
-improve your health
-learn and/or perfect a skill
-grow in your career
-travel the world (or at least wherever you can go) -get your financial books in order... these are just a few things to do in this season. 😉

Did you know that true and lasting JOY cannot be found in things that are temporary like your job though you may enjoy it, not in your dreams, not your friends , family or even a husband or a wife. True and lasting JOY is part of the fruit of the Spirit and comes from having an intimate relationship and experiential knowledge of Jesus Christ.
So where have you been looking for joy? Is there something from which or someone from whom you expected to receive and fulfill the joy you need in your life?
Honey, you may need to do a U-turn and find the path that leads to Jesus Christ, that’s where your joy will be found and complete. ✨

I confess I previously searched for joy in relationships (family, friends, boyfriend) . Though they could bring me joy even great joy, I ultimately searched for lasting joy in the wrong place, always ending up disappointed because I expected them to bring me joy rather than seeking it from God. There is nothing that Jesus cannot see you through. In every season, He is in charge. In every situation, He has ultimate power.
Death has been defeated, strongholds can be broken, sin destroyed and victory can be yours. In the trial, God is there. On the mountain top,He is there. In the valley, He is there. There is no where for you to hide and nothing, absolutely nothing can be hidden from Him. He is always there! And He will see you through.

God’s Word is His love letter to us but it is also His great instrument for teaching. Last time , we spoke about availability, are you making yourself available to Him through His Word to allow Him to teach you? ✨

You cannot know a God who’s very Word, His letter to you, you know nothing about. Dive into it, you won’t be disappointed. His Word brings life and instruct us in the way we should and need to go. There’s no time like the present to allow yourself to be taught directly by the Almighty. Jesus is coming soon and He wants you to get to know Him now, believe, accept Him, and embrace Him. You matter to God! So come, learn from Him, know Him and do His will. ✨

Don’t wonder how God can use. Don’t worry about whether you have what it takes to do what God has called you to do. You can have ZERO abilities ( and I believe you have plenty 😉) yet those are just extra assets. God can do plenty and beyond what you can imagine if you’ll just say “YES Lord”. Turn your heart posture into a “yes” and see what God can do in you and THROUGH you. Make yourself available ! ✨

Hey yall! Anybody like lists or being in control and able to checkoff items off a list???
Well I’ve got good news and I’ve got bad news for you.
Let’s start with the bad news. The fruit of the Spirit is not a list that you can just check off and think you have arrived. You cannot impose those in your life and think because you will it, you now have this fruit. Sorry my loving control freaks 😊😏
BUT the good news is that this fruit already exist in you through the Spirit of Christ and with time and practice (practice of following the Spirit’s leading, abiding and surrendering) you will grow into this fruit abounding, increasing and bearing more and more of this beautiful fruit.
Our part is to abide in Christ, to grow each day desiring to look more like Him in character and the Spirit, well , He does the work and will refine us daily allowing us to grow into this fruit, having less and less of a taste for what displeases God and more and more desire to walk as Jesus walked. ✨

MORE GOOD NEWS FOR DAILY LIVING!
Looking back *quickly, don’t linger there , I know some of you*, what were you missing from the fruit of the Spirit that could have made your relationships better? Every relationship can be much more harmonious and God-honoring when we personally grow in the fruit of the Spirit. Where could you still use a little work?
When we grow in the fruit of the Spirit, it not only brings more beauty in our relationship with Christ, drawing us closer to Him in character and one-mindedness but it can also help us in our daily relationships ( with family, friends, spouse, future spouse, church family, co-workers , etc).

6 years ago, I needed a lot of grace because Patience and I felt like we lived on those different continents sometimes 😂, what about you? Joy and I are currently working on being best buddies😉Where would you like to see more fruit? By God’s grace and through His Spirit, it is absolutely possible , keep running the faith-race🌷🙂

One thing God has placed on my heart is for us to do a little heart check.
I’ve been considering how we need to build a heart of gratitude . A beautiful definition for it and a more accurate one is “gratitude is learning to recognize and express appreciation for the blessings we have received from God and from others.” (E. Vaughn)
But did you know that there’s this little,actually it may appear small but is really a big problem that’s called pride which can rob us of an attitude of gratitude. A grateful heart is a humble heart. Yes, I know , humility is not trendy and totally counter cultural but we were never called to abide by the trends of culture but to be set apart, a peculiar people for His glory. ✨
Wait, don’t scroll away just yet! Let me give you a piece of advice and truth that will radically change your life and relationships, especially for you singles if you’ve got marriage on the brain and even if you do not this will improve all the relationships in your life beginning with God. ✨
When pride gets in our heart, it becomes like an infection and makes us sick. Let me ask you this:
Do you “whine” about frustrating or annoying people? (Could be customers too) I’m so guilty of that😞.
If circumstances or people don’t please you, do you become resentful? Do you get upset over something you wish you had or wish you didn’t have ? are you easily irritated and think people owe you things?
Do you think something won’t get done right if you’re not the one doing it?
All these things reflect a prideful heart. I know ...it is somewhat painful to realize. ✨
switch from pride to humility? Humility says:
-I will be quick to realize my faults and confess them to God honestly
-I will value others above myself , looking out for the interests of others (Philippians 2:3-4)
-think much of God and others and not so much ‘me me’
Humility is a blessing :It keeps the heart from rejecting healthy submission, choosing harmony in a relationship,and so much more. Pride destroys relationships and leads to more sin. God extends more and more grace to the heart willing to humble itself. Now tell me you don’t want and need some of that grace?! 😉

If you’re feeling like your heart is under fire, under attack, I want you to know that in all seasons of trials God has a special grace for that. His own words were “My grace is sufficient for you for my power is made perfect in weakness”. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
Trials, we don’t like them and if we could we likely would always choose to avoid them. Yet, God allows them, always able to bring good out of a bad situation.
As I’ve being growing and growing in my Christian walk, I’ve noticed in my life and in the life of others (present and past) that the seasons that have produced the most fruitfulness are seasons of trials. Could it because they force us to need God and depend on Jesus more than we ever have before? Very likely!
Nancy Demoss Wolgemuth often says “anything that forces me to need God is good”. I could not agree more. Those hard seasons, God uses to bring out more out of us while He’s got our complete attention. ✨
✨
When did you last experience God’s grace under fire?
Are you the type to run away from God in times of trouble or run towards God?
Have you discovered more of the beauty, truth, power and comfort of His Word in these seasons?
How are you bearing more fruit right now? Are you offering the Lord a sacrifice of praise right now? ✨

Ok so you’re feeling like this season is useless, purposeless, and perhaps even wasteful ?
No no no. Every season in life is a blessing, even our trials. It may not feel like it but remember how God’s word says “give thanks in all circumstances” (1 Thessalonians 5:18). We can look at the season as wasteful or we can choose to shift our perspective and looks at the opportunities this season offers us. Where you see waste? There can be purpose. You can needless or you can see preparation. For a single Christian, singleness is not only a beautiful gift but it is also a beautiful season of PREPARATION for the next. Enjoy this season while simultaneously preparing for whatever Next season you desire and will choose to embark on. ✨

So purposeless?? No absolutely PURPOSEFUL!
Some things you can do in preparation:
-get to know God
-get to know yourself
-work at what God has placed in front of you
-serve
-love others well
-improve your health
-learn and/or perfect a skill
-grow in your career
-travel the world (or at least wherever you can go) -get your financial books in order... these are just a few things to do in this season. 😉
Season full of PURPOSE! ✨

Did you know that true and lasting JOY cannot be found in things that are temporary like your job though you may enjoy it, not in your dreams, not your friends , family or even a husband or a wife. True and lasting JOY is part of the fruit of the Spirit and comes from having an intimate relationship and experiential knowledge of Jesus Christ.
So where have you been looking for joy? Is there something from which or someone from whom you expected to receive and fulfill the joy you need in your life?
Honey, you may need to do a U-turn and find the path that leads to Jesus Christ, that’s where your joy will be found and complete. ✨

I confess I previously searched for joy in relationships (family, friends, boyfriend) . Though they could bring me joy even great joy, I ultimately searched for lasting joy in the wrong place, always ending up disappointed because I expected them to bring me joy rather than seeking it from God.
